About this event

The borough is coming together for a Festival of Remembrance at Rochdale Hall to recognise the work of the Armed Forces community past and present.

The festival will also raise money for the Mayor of Rochdale’s Charities. The mayor’s chosen charities for 2026/27 are:

  • The Rochdale Veterans Breakfast Club
  • Rochdale Women’s Welfare Association
  • SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society)
  • Springhill Hospice
  • The Christie

The evening will include a delicious pie and pea supper, military music, marching bands, speeches, a service of remembrance and the opportunity to thank veterans past and present for their service and sacrifice. There will also be an act and service of remembrance, as well as historic war reflections.

This will be a lovely evening for the borough to come together, reflect and remember and say thank you to our Armed Forces community.

The event is open for anyone to attend.
