What makes a town hall?
- Cost: £150 per class
- Location: join us at Rochdale Town Hall
- Duration: 2 hour session
- What your students will learn: new vocabulary and problem solving using maths and English
- How this supports the national curriculum: helps your students understand significant historical events, people and places
Roll up your sleeves and pick up your pick axe, it’s time to find out what makes a town hall truly special.
In this hands-on Key Stage 1 session at Rochdale Town Hall, pupils will explore the stunning Victorian building and discover the important roles people played in the past.
With activities linked to curricular targets like colours and patterns, materials and textures, shapes, and counting, this session is perfect for sparking curiosity and creativity.

- Location: this session is hosted in our Historic Court Chamber at Rochdale Town Hall
- Duration: 2 hours
- What your students will learn: how to solve riddles and work as a team
- How this supports the national curriculum: helps your students to understand right and wrong and use evidence to show what they’ve learned
Using the story ‘I want my hat back’ by Jon Klassen. This fun filled session uses inquiring activities, storytelling plus plenty of rhyme and silly games to explore crime and punishment and the power of democracy.
