The following Key Stage 2 learning sessions are available:
The lost keys of Rochdale
- Cost: £200 per session
- Location: join us at Rochdale Town Hall
- Duration: 2 hour session
- Total number of students allowed: up to 32
- What your students will learn: Widen vocabulary, problem solving by applying maths and spoken language, face new challenges and have the vocabulary and understanding to overcome them.
- How this supports the national curriculum: helps your students understand significant historical events, people and places
In The Lost Keys of Rochdale, pupils become detectives, solving riddles and completing challenges to unlock the secrets of this magnificent building and Rochdale's Victorian heritage.
It’s teamwork, problem-solving, and history rolled into one exciting quest.
Cotton kings and spinning queens
- Cost: £200 per session
- Location: join us at Rochdale Town Hall
- Duration: 2 hour session
- Total number of students allowed: up to 32
- What your students will learn: Widen vocabulary, problem solving by applying maths and spoken language, face new challenges and have the vocabulary and understanding to overcome them.

In Cotton Kings and Spinning Queens, pupils dive into the fascinating world of Rochdale’s textile heritage. They’ll explore how cotton shaped the town, discover the lives of mill workers, and create their own Victorian-inspired designs using air-drying clay.
Court, Crime and Town Hall Trials
- Cost: £200 per session
- Location: this session is hosted in the Historic Court Chamber at Rochdale Town Hall
- Duration: 2 hours
- Total number of students allowed: up to 32
- What your students will learn: how to solve riddles and work as a team
- How this supports the national curriculum: helps your students to express their opinions and explain their views
Hear the stories of people put on trial in Rochdale’s first ever court room. In this fast paced workshop pupils work together to hear real life evidence from Rochdale’s first magistrates court.
Working together your pupils will solve clues and riddles to decide who committed crimes and who’s the red herring in the terrific Town Hall Trials.
